Elementary Comic

Elementary-comic.com started as a small project in a Science Communication course in August 2019.

Motivation behind: While I have a bachelor’s degree in Astrophysics, I haven’t really learned anything about elementary particles in any of my physics courses. Maybe it would have been different if I had courses in quantum physics, I don’t know … anyway, I got curious and decided to read up on the elementary particles starting with the book A tour of the Subatomic Zoo. Some of the funny “storytelling”-style quotes there were in the book inspired me to try to create small stories about the “every day life” of fundamental particles.

I am having fun while learning. And maybe the comic strips could be fun, inspirational or useful for other physics-curious people and students as well. For now it’s just a playful experiment.
